In order for children to be able to reach for their dreams, they need to recongnize their strengths and abilities. What they need and deserve is our ongoing support as a constant remind that we believe in them.
For this month's theme: Follow Your Dreams , topics we will focus on are:
- Goal Setting
- Perseverance
- Celebration of Self
Theme Objectives
- Students will understand the importance of facing challenges using their perseverance and positive attitude.
- Students will learn that having dreams and hopes will help them plan for their future.
- Students will learn how to set goals and the steps they need to take to achieve them.
Some Tips to Enforce this Month's Theme
All year long children have been exposed to social and emotional learning. Now we need to show them how to be the best they can be using their new skills. These four steps encourage emotional growth.
- Help children connect their new learning to real-life experiences.
- Activate the power of young minds by stirring their imaginations through creative play, thinking, and writing.
- Success brings more success. Recognize small accomplishments on a daily basis.
