The Safe and Caring SchoolsTM Program at Saint Charles School
Enhancing our Students' Social, Emotional, Psychological, Moral and Academic Development
This year we are starting the Safe and Caring Schools program, which is in keeping with the St. Charles School Philosophy of encouraging not only the academic growth of our students but of their development as a whole person.
We believe that placing emphasis on a child's social, emotional, psychological, and moral development will also add to his or her academic and intellectual growth. This holistic approach to teaching and learning will also help us foster a more supportive school climate that is conducive to learning and that will guide the growth of the Christian spirit of caring, respect and acceptance in each of our students.
Each month we will have a theme that incorporates social and emotional learning through school wide activities. Each theme will also be supported by activities implemented by core teams of teachers and staff as they work with students.
